Overview of our role
The Program Manager plays a collaborative and empowering role in guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver capital and operational programs that align with asset strategies, regulatory commitments, business cases, and our safety and performance goals.
In this role, you will nurture strong relationships across teams and ensure programs are thoughtfully planned, well‑sequenced, and smoothly delivered through to project close-out. Success will come from supportive stakeholder engagement, careful resource coordination, and inclusive governance practices.
You will provide caring, steady leadership and practical guidance to your team—encouraging knowledge‑sharing, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of consistent, high‑quality program outcomes. Your ability to bring people together, listen deeply, and create clarity will be key to helping the team and organisation thrive.
A little about you
- Demonstrated experience supporting and guiding capital or operational programs with care and collaboration.
- Experience empowering teams in technical, operational, or program-focused environments.
- A background in utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or other asset‑intensive industries, with a willingness to learn, adapt, and work collectively.
- Strong experience building trusted relationships with multidisciplinary stakeholders and delivery partners.
- Proven ability to thoughtfully coordinate scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management activities.
- A collaborative approach to commercial thinking, with experience contributing to, developing, or analysing business cases.
Qualifications / certifications & Skills
- Knowledge of program/project management methodologies and lifecycle frameworks.
- Understanding of asset management, network operations, regulatory drivers, and investment planning.
- Knowledge of safety management systems and compliance obligations.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or similar (preferred).
