Gymnastics Coach

The Y Penrith has a fabulous team of qualified coaches who are all passionate about gymnastics, coaching, children and creating a fun at our custom-built gymnasium.

Between us we have vast experience in gymnastics (of course), dance, acrobatics, ballet, circus, movement development and trampolining. 

All coaches have passed their NSW Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR and do regular safeguarding training. 

Our custom-built gymnasium features high ceilings, air conditioning, loads of great equipment, and a comfortable waiting room with viewing windows creating a perfect environment perfect for gymnasts of all ages.

About You:

You are passionate about gymnastics and love working with young people and can: 

• Develop and deliver engaging aerial gymnastics programs for children and young adults. 
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during classes and activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages skill development and confidence.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a comprehensive fitness and recreation experience.
• Act as a role model, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect

 Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct gymnastics classes for various skill levels.
• Monitor and assess participants' progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is safe and clean. 
• Promote a culture of safety and inclusivity within the gym.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in gymnastics and coaching young people. 
• Advanced/Intermediate Gymnastics Coaching Certificate.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Technical membership with Gymnastics Australia.
