The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.
Your new responsibilities
- Lead the industrialization, sourcing, development, setup, and qualification of Vision Inspection Systems for new product introductions ensuring process robustness, accuracy, reliability, manufacturability, and seamless integration with production workflows. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and both local and overseas counterparts to ensure smooth, scalable, and successful system deployment.
- Support resource and capacity management for the Vision team, including workload forecasting, prioritization, and optimization across a large portfolio of concurrent NPD projects to maximize engineering efficiency and output.
- Identify and implement organizational process efficiency improvements within Vision team development workflows and improve overall team productivity. Restablish and standardize practise/process governance and involves in relevant planning elements and project milestones
- Facilitate and lead solution workshops and large-group discussions that drive innovative problem-solving and strategic outcomes.
- Initiate, lead, and oversee major R&D Vision programs/projects—both local and global—focusing on long‑term strategy, capability roadmap development, organizational growth and strengthening partnerships in close alignment with global and local R&D leadership.
- Ensure safe work procedures and compliance to 5S in working environment.
What we look for
- At least a Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Engineering or Science.
- At least 10 years working experience in relevance semiconductor industry and R&D process development with strong exposure to Vision systems, automation platforms, and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Demonstrated capability in resource management, project/program execution, supporting technical competency development and improving organizational efficiency within complex engineering environments.
- Excellent analytical, data-driven decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and global teams.
- Additional advantages include hands-on experience with digital engineering dashboards, AI/analytics for productivity enhancement, and Industry 4.0 applications.
