Overview

We are seeking an AI Engineer to architect, develop, and deploy advanced AI systems that drive measurable business value across Colgate-Palmolive’s global operations. In support of our purpose to Make More Smiles and our commitment to a healthier future for our people, pets, and planet, this role builds the intelligent capabilities that power smarter decisions, faster innovation, and stronger consumer impact at scale.

As Colgate-Palmolive accelerates the shift from isolated generative AI use cases to enterprise wide innovation, you will orchestrate leading GenAI models to design and deploy AI applications, agents, and automations embedded directly into critical business workflows. Your work will help transform how insights are generated, how processes are optimized, and how new ideas are brought to market, ensuring AI moves beyond productivity gains into sustained competitive advantage.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Agentic System Design: Design and implement agentic systems using open source frameworks like langchain and enterprise frameworks like Retool to automate complex business workflows and decision processes.

  • Production Deployment: Develop and maintain production-grade AI applications that integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise systems and databases.

  • Evaluation Frameworks: Create and implement comprehensive testing frameworks to evaluate AI model performance, reliability, and business impact.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Gather requirements, prototype solutions, and iterate based on internal stakeholder feedback.

  • Documentation: Build and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and user guides.

  • Governance Compliance: Work with AI Governance and Legal teams to ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical STEM field. Optional: Ph.D in a quantitative field

  • Experience: 3+ of  years of technical experience with a BA/BS or 1+ year with a MS or PhD

  • Advanced proficiency in any major programming language.

  • Advanced Proficiency with modern IDEs and Agentic Coding systems (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, Antigravity).

  • Demonstrated ability to build E2E AI-powered software solutions including back-end, front-end, and AI architecture.

  • Programming: High level of competency in any major programming language with experience in AI/ML packages.

  • Orchestration: Deep understanding of LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Crew.AI) and fundamentals of prompt engineering.

  • Architecture: Strong knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, and semantic search implementations.

  • Cloud & DevOps: Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and containerization technologies.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem-solving: Ability to decompose complex business challenges into actionable AI solutions.
    Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess the business impact of projects and prioritize accordingly.

  • Collaboration: Experience working effectively within cross-functional teams.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple AI initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

 

 

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $115,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
