We are currently seeking a Roofing Labourer to join our team.
Role overview:
To assist in the delivery of high-quality roofing repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment services to properties. The role supports qualified roofers on-site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards in line with tenant satisfaction and health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist roofers in carrying out roofing works, including flat and pitched roof
- Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from vehicles and work areas.
- Help set up and dismantle access equipment, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Clear roof debris and maintain clean and tidy workspaces.
- Remove old roofing material as directed, ensuring safe disposal.
- Mix and prepare materials like mortar, bitumen, adhesives, etc.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Support site safety by following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate respectfully with tenants and the public while working on-site.
- Report any issues or defects to supervisors promptly.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily and weekly targets.
You Will Need:
- Experience in general construction or roofing labouring.
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take instruction from supervisors and tradespeople.
- Knowledge of roofing systems and materials.
- Driving licence.
