In this role you will

  • Ensure outcomes are aligned with CX objectives and provide strong product management principles with a relentless focus on client needs.

  • Provide product management services on a product, applying functional expertise to improve product results.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Client Experience Owners to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience digital platforms.

  • Coach product teams towards best practices and learnings. 

  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery.

  • Lead the planning, development and implementation of product capabilities. Work closely with Client Experience Owners and UX to define and analyze markets, develop detailed product features and requirements, and create a product roadmap to realize the final vision.

  • Employ a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.

 

Story Readiness and Acceptance Criteria (GWT’s)

  • Document the requirements for key functions, deconstructing the epic into actionable user stories in JIRA/Confluence.

  • Develop feature acceptance criteria for each of the stories and get them ready for Agile scrum teams.

  • Work with UX/UI to create or update designs for upcoming sprints.

 

Product Backlog Management

  • Translate product roadmap into product backlog – Liaise with the Senior Product Manager to ensure that the strategic intent of any solution that is developed meets both the client and business goals. 

  • Manage product backlog – Manage, adjust for risk, and prioritize product backlog with the focus on execution for at-least 3 sprints. Ensure that work items are sequenced according to priorities set by the Senior Product Manager.

  • Backlog refinement – Lead backlog refinement to deconstruct, refine and estimate story size, add acceptance criteria and enable long term technical planning.

  • Product Health – Manage and prioritize defects, technical enhancements along with product features to maintain holistic product health.

 

Daily Scrum Activities

  • Be available for the team in all scrum ceremonies meetings including standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. 

  • Answer questions from developers and clarify acceptance criteria. Be available to any member of the scrum team, at any time, to answer any question related to the team's current commitments.

  • Work with scrum team managers to maintain a continuous velocity stream, ensure quality, eliminate escaped defects, and motivate the team.

 

Miscellaneous

  • Ensure digital platform standards are adhered to

  • Managing feedback loop with Client Experience Owners and Senior Product Managers 

  • Help out in case resources fall short, e.g. for testing

  • Collaborate with Senior Product Managers for feature KPI’s and aligning them to the digital platform KPI’s

  • Collaborate with Senior Product Managers for feature analytics allowing product teams to understand usage, insights and enhancement opportunities.

  • Managing dependencies within the team (client and backend)

 

 

What it takes

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of managing a project preferred. Financial Services or function-specific experience preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Ability to support testing and elevations during off-hours and weekends.

 

Preferred:

 

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results while working in cross-functional environment.

  • Demonstrated experience with facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing and executing Agile principles with strong digital and technical skills.

  • Ability to support testing and elevations during off-hours and weekends.
