Íslandshótel is seeking an experienced and responsible Cook – Shift manager to join the team at Fosshótel Stykkishólmur. The Shift manager is a key member of the kitchen team and is responsible for professional shift management, the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, and leading staff on duty, under the supervision of the immediate manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Shift supervision in the kitchen and professional leadership of staff on duty
- Oversight of daily kitchen operations, including cooking, preparation, and end-of-shift cleaning
- Monitoring quality, hygiene, and safety in accordance with procedures and HACCP
- Participation in purchasing, inventory control, and goods reception in cooperation with the manager
- Responsibility for training and onboarding staff during shifts
- Ensuring effective communication between shifts and collaboration with other managers
- Assisting with shift planning and staffing as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role is required
- Relevant education is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong service mindset
- Ability to work independently with good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong safety awareness; knowledge of HACCP is an advantage
