About the role

The Procurement Policy Analyst supports the development, review, and improvement of procurement policies that guide compliant, efficient, and value‑for‑money purchasing across TAFE NSW. Working within a collaborative and high‑performing team, the role contributes to key reform initiatives by analysing procurement data, interpreting legislative and policy requirements, and identifying risks that impact compliance in government procurement. This work helps shape strategic policy direction and ensures procurement practices align with organisational objectives and NSW Government expectations.

The role also involves preparing clear and insightful policy papers, guidance materials, briefings, and reports that translate complex procurement concepts into accessible information for a wide range of stakeholders. In addition, the Procurement Policy Analyst assists with stakeholder engagement across Finance, Legal, business units, suppliers, and relevant government bodies to support informed decision‑making.  Through evidence‑based analysis and strong stakeholder collaboration, the role helps strengthen TAFE NSW’s procurement framework and contributes to a transparent, accountable, and high‑quality procurement environment.

About You

You’re a self-starter with a growth mindset – someone who thrives in dynamic environments and takes ownership of your work. You’re curious, analytical, and confident navigating complex policy landscapes.

Ideally, you bring experience working within the NSW Government or a similar public sector environment, and you understand how to collaborate across departments and agencies. You implement policies effectively by combining insightful communication with a focus on meeting capabilities to support business outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where their insights and expertise contribute to meaningful change. You’re looking for a role that will stretch you professionally, with the support to grow your skills and take on more responsibility over time.
