Position Overview
Based at BanoPuratos in Saudi Arabia, we are currently seeking a:
Area Manager
(Saudi Arabia, Jeddah)
To provide full leadership and strategic oversight of the assigned area, acting as its General Manager. The role is accountable for delivering sales growth, profitability, financial health, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This includes achieving commercial targets, expanding market share, strengthening client relationships, ensuring optimal logistics performance, and developing a high-performing team capable of supporting long-term business success.
Key Accountabilities
Sales & Commercial Management
- Develop and execute the area commercial strategy, aligned with the company’s global direction, ensuring sustainable growth in volume, revenue, and market share.
- Set the annual sales targets for the area, cascade targets by team member, territory, channel, and product category.
- Lead the execution of the sales strategy across all channels (Artisan, Industrial, Retail, Horea, key accounts), ensuring full and proper implementation.
- Manage and grow large/key accounts, negotiating agreements, improving profitability, and maximizing product penetration.
- Identify and acquire new customers and business opportunities to expand market reach.
- Continuously monitor competitive activities, pricing trends, and market dynamics, proposing proactive actions to protect and grow market position.
- Conduct performance reviews against targets, identifying risks/opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare comprehensive, data-driven sales and performance reports for the General Manager, highlighting achievements, gaps, trends, and next steps.
Operational
- Oversee day-to-day operations across sales, logistics, distribution, customer service, and technical activities, ensuring seamless execution and high service quality.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasting to support production planning, order management, and stock availability.
- Monitor stock levels, stock aging, and order flow to prevent shortages, overstocks, or loss of sales.
- Ensure operational processes are followed, optimized, and improved to increase efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by resolving issues quickly and ensuring on-time, complete deliveries.
- Implement best practices and leverage systems and data to improve operational decision-making.
Financial Management
- Achieve all financial KPIs of the area, including Sales, Gross Margin, EBITDA, and cost controls.
- Maintain overdue payments within the required company percentages, ensuring healthy cash flow and low financial risk.
- Monitor the area’s P&L drivers, supporting actions to improve profitability, reduce operational costs, and optimize pricing where applicable.
- Oversee collection activities, ensure proper follow-up by the team, and escalate risks to management proactively.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and inspire the area team to achieve peak performance, acting as the main leadership reference for the region.
- Build a high-performing sales force capable of reaching targets, maintaining discipline, and driving customer satisfaction.
- Support the team in solving challenges related to customers, operations, collections, and internal processes.
- Identify skill gaps and ensure continuous development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork, and transparency within the area.
- Ensure succession planning and development plans are in place for key positions.
Profile
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Sales, Supply Chain, or any related field Masters Degree is a plus.
- 10 + years’ work experience in F&B sector with at least 5 years in a managerial level.
- Fluent in English, Arabic.
