Job Description

This position is on-site in Knoxville, TN

The RPA Platform Administrator is responsible for the stability, performance, security, and scalability of the Blue Prism RPA platform. This role owns end-to-end infrastructure maintenance, platform operations, and automation production support to ensure reliable, compliant, and high-availability automation services across the enterprise.

  • Administer and maintain the Blue Prism platform across environments
  • Manage Blue Prism infrastructure components:
    • Application servers
    • Runtime Resources (Digital Workers)
    • Control Room
    • SQL Server databases
    • APIs and end points
  • Ensure high availability, load balancing, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Perform platform upgrades, hotfixes, and patching with minimal business disruption
  • Capacity planning for bots, queues, licenses, and infrastructure growth
  • Support RPA release cycles including code back up and deployment
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, and network teams for provisioning and scaling
  • Maintain configuration standards and environment consistency
  • Implement and manage:
    • Role-based access control (RBAC)
    • Credential Manager / secure credential vaults
    • Automation schedules
    • Certificate management and encryption
  • Ensure platform compliance with enterprise security, audit, and regulatory standards
  • Experience in hosting and upgrading RPA products for customers·
  • Support audits by providing logs, access records, and operational evidence
  • Proactively monitor bot health, schedules, queues, and system performance, including cleaning up temp files, browser history on bot machines
  • Troubleshoot platform, infrastructure, and runtime failures
  • Provide L2/L3 production support and root cause analysis
  • Implement alerting and automated recovery mechanisms
  • Define and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation
  • Drive platform stability, uptime SLAs, and performance KPIs
  • Optimize infrastructure cost and runtime utilization
  • Partner with Business users, RPA developers, and architects to enable faster delivery

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience administering RPA/Blue Prism platforms
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows Server
    • SQL Server (backup, restore, performance tuning)
    • VM-based or cloud infrastructure (Azure / AWS preferred)
  • Experience with:
    • High-availability architecture
    • Load balancers
    • Active Directory integration
    • Certificate-based authentication
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis
  • Blue Prism installation, configuration, and upgrades
  • Runtime Resource management and workload distribution
  • Queue management and Control Room operations
  • License management and usage optimization
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
  • Ability to operate in 24×7 or on-call production environments
  • Clear documentation and stakeholder communication
  • Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
  • Blue Prism certification (ASD / AD01 / AD02)
  • Experience with cloud-hosted RPA platforms
  • Exposure to enterprise automation CoE models
  • Knowledge of ITIL or production support frameworks
  • Platform uptime and stability
  • Mean time to recover (MTTR)
  • Successful releases with zero platform incidents
  • Secure, compliant, and scalable RPA operations
