The role:

  • Are you a mid-level HR professional ready to step into a leadership role and take full ownership of the HR function? We’re seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources, from strategy to day-to-day operations.
  • This is a full-time (38 hours per week), stand-alone role offering flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
  • Some of the key responsibilities include:
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and offboarding for all employees
  • Administer and maintain the HRIS (Employment Hero)
  • Prepare employment contracts, letters, inductions and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, assist with developing KPIs and strategic objectives, probation tracking, salary reviews and position description updates
  • Work with the Finance team to process payroll (fortnightly)
  • Oversee compliance training and manage content within the Learning Management System
  • Maintain HR records, templates and registers ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Compile HR metrics and generate compliance and government reports
  • Manage employee relations, support managers and foster an inclusive workplace culture
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, WHS standards and ethical practices
  • Coordinate Work Health and Safety administration and reporting
  • Lead HR projects and contribute to business-aligned strategic initiatives.

About you:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience using Employment Hero HRIS preferred
  • Previous experience with the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) preferred, however not essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • HR certification (e.g., AHRI, CIPD, SHRM) is desirable.
