Embedded Validation Engineer – Automotive Systems
The challenge
Join a high-tech automotive project where embedded systems meet electrified drivetrains. As Embedded Validation Engineer, you take full ownership of the validation strategy and execution for your domain, ensuring complex systems perform reliably, safely and efficiently.
You will work across software, hardware, and system layers, translating requirements into structured validation approaches and delivering actionable results for engineering teams and project milestones.
Your mission
- Define and execute embedded validation strategies (MIL / SIL / HIL, unit & integration, virtual validation)
- Own sign-off of validation results at key milestones
- Create and maintain Verification Plans, Specifications, and Reports
- Decide the appropriate validation level: component, subsystem, system or vehicle
- Translate abstract validation needs into concrete test cases
- Analyse and report development tests; coordinate resources and test environments
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and supplier teams to remove technical roadblocks
- Share expertise to improve processes and ensure reproducible, high-quality results
Your profile
Education & Experience
- Master in Automotive, EE, Mechatronics, or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in embedded SW/HW validation (ECUs, sensors, actuators)
- Knowledge of hybrid/electrified powertrains or transmissions is a plus
- Technical leadership or team coordination experience is an asset

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, root-cause methods)
- Fluent in English, excellent communication skills
- Customer-focused, persistent, and flexible
Technical familiarity
- ISO 26262, ASPICE
- UDS, XCP
- Tools: Vector CANape / CANalyzer, INCA, MATLAB/Simulink
- HIL frameworks
