THE ROLE
As our Groups Travel Manager, you will drive sales growth across the APT Travel Group Groups and Charter business. Working closely with the Head of Sales Operations and On-Road Sales Team, you’ll manage end-to-end group bookings (10+ passengers) on existing itineraries, while building strong trade and direct client relationships. This is a hands-on, commercially driven role where you’ll source, quote, convert and service private group bookings — balancing sales strategy with operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Implementing and delivering group sales plans aligned to business strategy
- Achieving sales and revenue targets for Groups, Charter and Incentive business
- Sourcing, quoting, converting and servicing group travel enquiries
- Managing pricing, margins and overall commercial outcomes
- Building and strengthening relationships with key trade partners and direct clients
- Monitoring sales performance and identifying new market opportunities
- Collaborating with Sales, Product, Yield and operational teams to maximise group materialisation
- Providing reporting, insights and training support across the sales network
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 3 years’ travel reservations experience (groups experience desirable)
- Strong sales focus with the ability to convert and grow accounts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Commercial awareness and confidence managing pricing and margins
- GDS knowledge (Sabre preferred)
