The Chaplain offers pastoral care to patients, families, and staff. He/she maintains a professional relationship with hospital personnel. The Chaplain may be required to take call during the evenings, on weekends and holidays and must be available to respond during emergencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
The Chaplain responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Visits newly admitted patients and their families to offer support and spiritual assistance
- Responds to all calls for chaplaincy services including crisis calls, requests for patients and families and referrals from hospital staff
- Provides spiritual care and support to patients/families and staff as needed and/or requested
- Collaborates and works cooperatively with physicians, nurse case managers and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team
- Documents the spiritual care provided in the appropriate records
- Reports to assigned Supervisor, Manager, or Director

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
5 years pastoral ministry required.
Endorsement by a recognized faith community and ordination by a recognized faith community.
EDUCATION:
Those already hired without CPE must complete unit-based competency validations and mandatory trainings within 18 months of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
2 years’ experience in hospital setting preferred
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Master’s of Divinity from a seminary accredited by the Association of Theological Schools preferred or a similarly credentialed accrediting agency, or its equivalent as determined by the Association of Professional Chaplains preferred
Clinical Pastoral Education (1 unit preferred)
