As a Quality Controller specialising in Mechanical systems for our hydro power projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our renewable energy initiatives. Summary of what you will do

  • Support the Project Team in implementing and monitoring quality processes for mechanical systems
  • Verify and accept protocols in line with predefined criteria throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage non-conformances and ensure traceability of records for each work stage
  • Conduct site inspections during installation and attend factory acceptance tests
  • Compile and manage the Project Punch List, coordinating with ENGIE and contractor leads
  • Provide discipline-specific quality support for mechanical investigations and technical solutions
  • Interpret technical information, such as engineering drawings, and verify alignment with installed equipment

 

What you will bring to the role

  • Hold a Higher National Certificate or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Possess IOSH Managing Safely certification and the ability to drive various vehicles
  • Have experience in hydro power station operations or similar industrial environments
  • Demonstrate strong skills in report writing and interpreting technical information
  • Show proficiency in conducting technical inspections and audits
  • Excel in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Display excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to technical excellence
  • Full driving licence

 

Job Based In

This is a site based role at Dinorwig Power Station in Llanberis (North Wales)
