The role of the Community Liaison Officer to facilitate effective community engagement while supporting procurement processes, ensuring compliance, stability, and uninterrupted progress of the Kimberley Permanent Solutions Pit Stabilisation Project.

Job Description
Your role will include but not limited to:
Facilitating Communication
- Provide clear communication on project progress, impacts, and activities; capture community concerns and escalate appropriately.
Managing Local Employment & Sub-Contracting
- Support contractors in identifying and recruiting local labour and enterprises who meet required standard and specifications; monitor localisation commitments.
Conflict Resolution
- Mediate community or contractor issues to prevent work stoppages and maintain operational stability.
Reporting
- Compile and submit reports on community affairs, employment statistics, and project progress to stakeholders.
Acquisition Processes
- Support compliant purchasing aligned with SCM policies and regulatory frameworks.
Sourcing & Vetting Suppliers
- Obtain quotes from compliant vendors; ensure documentation meets governance requirements.
Record Keeping & Administration
- Maintain procurement records, communicate tenders, and ensure accurate document control
- Coordinate and manage all CSI & SLP administrative requirements on relevant systems- SAP (Direct Output, Service Authority)
Adhoc duties
- Filing & record keeping •
- Taking down minutes of meetings
- General administrative duties
- Visibly Felt Leadership displays and practices
Qualifications
- Matric; community development or supply chain qualifications advantageous
- Experience in community liaison, stakeholder engagement, and/or procurement support.
- Experience in mining-related community roles (Voorspoed, Venetia) is highly advantageous.
