PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Manager, Sourcing, you will play a key role in supporting the sourcing, procurement and management of both direct & indirect Spend in accordance with CPKC’s policies and procedures. You’ll assist in driving cost-effective, high-quality solutions in partnership with business leaders, while supporting the management of vendor contracts and budgets. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide administrative support in the development of sourcing and tactical plans for the Sourcing Services portfolio which includes but not limited to construction, maintenance & repair and auxiliary services i.e. waste management, pest control etc
- Assist in the sourcing process including request for proposal (RFP) development and issuance, negotiations, contract execution and contract management including Ariba, SAP and supplier administration
- Assist daily activities across operations including transportation and logistics, vendor performance, and regulatory compliance
- Review related sourcing compliance measurements for the Sourcing Services portfolio and initiate required corrective action and/or communication
- Maintain scorecard reports and sourcing and tactical plans for review with senior management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary student enrolled in a Supply chain, Sourcing, Logistics or related program
- Must be familiar with Excel, Outlook, Shared Drives
- Effective verbal and written communication, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members
