Job Description
Be the technical bridge between design, manufacturing, and management teams, ensuring clear communication, design feasibility, and efficient problem resolution.
In a distributed environment (design teams in Mexico, India and Germany, manufacturing in Celaya, and management in Mexico/US), the Liaison Engineer aligns technical requirements, supports implementation in production, coordinates engineering changes, and ensures timely resolution of technical issues, enabling a smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
Develop system-level requirements and architecture, specifying functional and security features. Maintain communication and discussions with the internal development team and the client to define the system's key features. Provide guidance to the team to address technical challenges related to the system's features and expected performance. Works independently and fulfills responsibilities 100%.
Translate design requirements into manufacturable solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance with specifications.
Coordinate and align design, plant, and management teams, facilitating effective technical communication and mutual understanding.
Manage deviations, engineering changes, and production issues, leading root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Ensure technical decisions consider impact on cost, quality, timing, and production capacity.
Provide clear and timely visibility of technical status and risks to management.
- Analyze, review, and define system requirements, including architecture, to ensure a clear and precise understanding of the project's needs.
- Constantly monitor and evaluate the quality of system requirements, ensuring they meet established standards and defined verification criteria.
- Regularly track the project's progress at the system level, identifying potential deviations and taking corrective actions to keep it on track.
- Categorize requirements based on different areas and components of the system, thus facilitating their management and prioritization.
- Create detailed and clear technical documentation for the client, providing complete information on the system's architecture, requirements, and verification criteria.
- Organize meetings and agreements with stakeholders, including the client and the development team, to define and agree on the project's scope and objectives.
- Conduct thorough reviews of existing processes for team follow-up.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, ensuring a common understanding and a collaborative approach to system development.
Qualifications
Hard Skills:
HW/ME Bachelor degree
Professional Experience (years) : 3-5 years
+2 Years of experience in Automotive Industry (manufacturing desirable)
Language Required: English C1
Availability to travel: Yes
Engineering change management (ECN/ECR) and configuration control
Root cause analysis and problem-solving (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
Manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
DOORS (Classic or NG)
