Medical Officer, Princess Zahra Pavilion (Surgery)

Introduction:
The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. The Department has 114 full-time and part-time faculty with a strong commitment to teaching and research. Formal structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency, and fellowship programs are integrated into the academic functions of the department.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- perform pre-operative evaluation of the patients
- perform post-operative management of surgical patients
- document the above in a timely manner and communicate appropriately with the patients and their families
- ensure availability on the premises when on call and respond promptly to the calls
- remain updated on infection control procedures, standard protocols, and clinical practice of the hospital.
Requirements:
You should have:
- MBBS degree from an HEC-recognized university
- at one year post MBBS experience from a reputable institution
- a valid license from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
- good communication skills
- willing to work shift duties.
