SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop software components, APIs, and microservices that support automation and incident management
- Collaborate with AI/ML specialists to integrate models into production workflows (anomaly detection, classification, prediction)
- Build and maintain automation pipelines for proactive monitoring, ticket creation, and workflow orchestration
- Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement processes
- Analyze operational requirements and contribute to solution design alongside senior engineers
- Work closely with NOC teams, network SMEs, and AIOps colleagues to operationalize automation features
- Ensure solutions follow Bell’s security, performance, and reliability standards
- Contribute to documentation, deployment, and monitoring of applications in production environments
- Provides support for features deployed in production by monitoring performance, investigating issues, and resolving defects.
COMPETENCIES
Core Competencies (Must-have Competencies)
- 2+ years of experience developing applications using Python
- 2+ years of experience with AI/ML
- 2+ years of experience working with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Kafka
- 2+ years of experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and using version control systems (Git)
- 2+ years of experience developing APIs and microservices, and working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Complementary Competencies (Good-to-have Competencies)
- Experience working using Java and Go
- Knowledge of telecom networks (Wireless, Wireline, IP, transport) is an asset
- Experience working with logs, metrics, or monitoring tools (observability) is an asset
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to learn from senior team members
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Qualification/s
- University degree in computer science, software engineering, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
