Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated part time Maintenance Officer to join our team at Novotel Perth Murray Street working 2 or 3 days per week. This role is integral to ensuring the ongoing upkeep and smooth operation of the hotel’s facilities, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and general repair work. Including painting, decorating and waste removal.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Assist in maintaining hotel equipment, fixtures, and fittings in accordance with safety and operational standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major concerns to management.
  • Comply with workplace health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role within a hotel or similar environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
