For our group company, New Guinea Highlands Coffee Exports (NGHCE) & Airport Coffee Mills (ACM), we are looking for a Human Resources Manager (f/m/d).
The position will be based in Goroka and reports directly to General Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Full spectrum of HR functions including talent acquisition, talent development, compensation & benefits, employee engagement, in support of the company’s various departments
  • Responsible in running the day-to-day HR operations and provide country-level support for employees and entities in Papua New Guinea.
  • Participate and support the implementation of regional HR projects and initiatives.
  • Recommend effective and efficient organization structure and development plans to coincide with strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain an effective recruitment, training, and development system.
  • Responsible in ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, government legislation and to keep abreast of latest updates.
  • Handling counselling and disciplining of employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results in consultation with the Head of Departments and General Manager,.
  • Support staff training and development opportunities, KPI’s and performance reviews, in partnership with the Head of Departments and General Manager.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.


Your profile

  • Excellent verbal and written English, the local native language will be a plus.
  • Recognized degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Human Resources and Administration function.
  • Preference for experience in coffee or manufacturing industry
  • Background as a HR generalist with expert knowledge in the different HR specialties
  • Prior experience in running HR operations and services with knowledge of HR practices and legislation in Papua New Guinea.
  • Experience with Workday will be a plus.
  • An individual contributor with strategic thinking, resourceful and proactive
  • Personable and approachable, while being firm, fair and objective with decisions
  • Good teamwork, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
