Department - Information Technology
Reports to IT Development Manager
Location - Dongguan - China
Job summary
Works with business analysts to understand new requirements from the business stakeholders for software solution based on the company ERP platform.
Develop solutions to meet the business requirements within the confines of agreed standards.
Joins application development meetings on a regular basis.
To work within the requirements of the Company's Health and safety, Quality and Environmental management systems.
Specific responsibilities
- Liaise with Business Analysts and End Users to assess and anticipate their requirements, to determine the best solution within the confines of agreed development standards
- Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code (.NET and SQL stored procedures)
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Foster an expertise around the applications developed to provide technical support
- Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the business and industry to enable best-informed decision making

Job holder requirements
Requirements
- A graduate / post-graduate in computer science / engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Between 3-6 years of experience in .NET application development
- High level proficiency in .NET programming languages (including C#)
- Acceptable proficiency in T-SQL and Stored Procedure for MS SQL and Reporting Services
- Any previous experience with ERP is very beneficial (Syteline 8.0 or 10 / CSI)
- Experience in PLC connectivity and data acquisition from manufacturing equipment is favourable
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Self-driven, motivated, result oriented and a willingness to learn new technologies
