The Proposition & Market Insight Analyst plays a key role in strengthening RJWM’s product strategy by turning market, adviser, and competitor insights into clear, evidence‑based recommendations that shape our roadmap. This role brings together deep understanding of adviser behaviour, regulatory and competitive trends, and platform dynamics, translating research into actions that enhance our propositions, reduce friction, and support strong commercial and client outcomes. You will also ensure our product messaging, documentation, and due‑diligence materials are accurate, consistent, and adviser‑ready, supporting effective distribution and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Market Insight & Competitor Intelligence
• Conduct structured market analysis to uncover adviser trends, regulatory developments, technology changes, and competitor movements that influence product positioning.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of platform capability, constraints, and how these shape product design, delivery, and the adviser experience.
• Produce concise, actionable insight outputs (e.g., dashboards, briefs) that support prioritisation and strategic decision‑making.
Adviser Behaviour & Proposition Testing
• Track adviser needs, buying behaviours, switching activity, and friction points using defined frameworks and research techniques.
• Test and validate product ideas — assessing demand, usability, and pricing — and provide clear, structured feedback to inform product decisions.
• Partner with Sales to capture adviser insights, identify trends, and translate findings into themes and actions for the product roadmap.
Product Strategy & Roadmap Support
• Provide robust data, analysis, and recommendations that shape product prioritisation and sequencing.
• Convert insight into problem statements, opportunity sizing, and options with clear trade‑offs to support decision‑making discussions.
Documentation, Due Diligence & Sales Enablement
• Own external due‑diligence and governance materials and lead the creation of RFIs, DDQs, and tender submissions that support new business.
• Maintain a central library of proposition and technical content, ensuring consistent and high‑quality tender responses in collaboration with internal SMEs.
• Support the creation of high‑quality sales enablement materials that build adviser understanding and adoption.
• Prepare structured briefs for marketing outputs and review all client‑facing materials for accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain all product documentation, ensuring it remains current, accurate, and aligned to governance standards and market needs.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to support product launches, enhancements, and market engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Experience within financial services, ideally with exposure to financial advisers, platforms, or DFM propositions.
• Strong understanding of investment products, tax wrappers, and adviser operating models.
• Familiarity with competitor analysis tools (e.g., FE, Defaqto).
Desirable
• Experience with adviser research sources (e.g., industry insight providers), pricing/competitor analysis, or user research methods (interviews, surveys).
• Experience developing sales enablement content (tenders, one‑pagers, playbooks).
Knowledge & Skills
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication — able to simplify complexity for different audiences.
• Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple priorities.
• Deep understanding of investment products, platforms, tax wrappers, and target markets, with strong commercial judgement.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and quality.
