Position Overview 

Chartis Federal is seeking a TS-cleared IT Specialist to provide on-site desktop support to our customer. In this position, you will be involved in planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. This position is 100% on site at a government facility located in Bluemont, VA.


Responsibilities

  

  • Planning and scheduling the installation of new or modified hardware and software operating systems and applications. 
  • Managing systems accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment. 
  • Managing system resources, managing installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancement. 
  • Developing, documenting, and implementing systems administration standard operating procedures, security procedures and tools.
  • Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems and maintenance of system configuration. 
  • Developing test data and appropriate testing procedures; provide analysis and evaluation report. 
  • Testing and Imaging new computers.
  • Utilizing ServiceNow to track and execute trouble tickets. 
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and Windows Imaging.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • The contractor must be able to lift weights up to 45 pounds and be physically capable of performing all tasks and duties characteristic of the position.


Other work conditions

Work is primarily centered on site at a government facility in an office or a shop. It is performed around and within electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment and must be performed with complete regard for safety regulations to avoid accidents or injury. Work areas during exercises or actual emergencies may be in a semi-fixed environment or at a field location operating in confined shelters, available buildings, or outside under hazardous conditions. Strict adherence to safe work practices and compliance with governmental safety regulations and directives is mandatory.


Clearance Required

This is a National Security/Special Sensitive-designated position requiring a Top-Secret security clearance. The contractor must have a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
