About the team

Our Corporate Affairs team has broad responsibilities, aligned with Wesfarmers reputation, including corporate communications and reporting, advancing our sustainability objectives, delivery of our reconciliation commitments, government and stakeholder engagement and community partnerships including the Wesfarmers Arts program.

What you’ll do

The Sustainability Reporting Analyst will play a pivotal role in assessing and evaluating the performance of Wesfarmers from and ESG lens as well as contribute to sustainable decision-making, risk management, and regulatory compliance, as well as supporting the business to develop strong commercial acumen around sustainability and sustainability projects by developing and embedding processes that consider the future impact of carbon costs across divisional and group projects.

  • Lead the collection and collation of sustainability data for the Group, engaging with the divisions to ensure early and shared alignment around data needs and maintain the Group sustainability data systems (Sphera).
  • Undertake sustainability data analysis to identify and quantify opportunities, risks and to monitor progress against targets.
  • Leveraging data, support the Group’s climate related projects and reporting, working closely with the Climate Manager and the Sustainability Reporting Principal.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers and government agencies to stay abreast of new standards and updates.
  • Support the development and documentation of relevant business processes including Basis of Preparations.

What you’ll need

  • Tertiary qualification in Sustainability, Commerce, Finance or a related field.
  • 2-5 years experience in a similar role within a corporate environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement out of the box thinking.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills, as well as a strong stakeholder-centric approach.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities, including engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders.
  • Various applications within Office365, Sphera, and project management software such as Monday.com or Microsoft Planner.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and evolving user requirements.
