Software Engineer

As a Senior Mulesoft Developer you will be responsible for building robust and scalable integration solutions that connect critical business systems and enable seamless data exchange. Using the Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, you will design, develop, and deploy APIs and integration flows to support our Salesforce CRM digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy robust APIs and integration solutions, considering overall architecture, performance, scaling, fault tolerance, and high availability.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to identify integration requirements and design solutions that align with business objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, working with technical teams to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions that ensure high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain clear integration documentation, including technical specifications, data mappings, and runbooks.
• Configure and test integrations between Salesforce, Mulesoft, and other enterprise systems, including third-party applications and legacy databases.
• Adhere to and promote secure development standards, leveraging API security best practices and tools to ensure the integrity of all integrations.
• Monitor integration performance, identifying and acting on opportunities to optimize data flow and system efficiency.
• Impart knowledge and Mulesoft best practices to other team members.

Qualifications Education Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, or a related field. 
• Master's degree work in a related field is desirable.
• Mulesoft Certified Developer (MCD) – Level 1. 
• Mulesoft Certified Integration Professional or Mulesoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA) certifications are highly desirable.

• Mulesoft Platform & Architecture
  • Strong command of the Mule 4.x runtime and Anypoint Platform (including Anypoint Monitoring and various deployment models like CloudHub).
  • Proven ability to design and architect solutions using API-led connectivity, application networks, event-driven models, and batch processing.
  • Exceptional proficiency in developing complex Dataweave transformations for various data formats (JSON, XML, CSV, flat files, etc.).
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Mulesoft applications.
• Integration & Connectivity
  • In-depth knowledge of various Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming) and event-driven patterns (Platform Events, CDC).
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate with diverse legacy and modern systems using protocols like SFTP, JDBC, and messaging queues (e.g., AMQ, JMS).
• DevOps & Quality
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Mulesoft deployments and working in a DevOps environment.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks for integration solutions.

Preferred previous experiences

• Experience implementing and building Salesforce capability in complex multi-national environment.
• Experience of working within a large global cross-functional organization.

• API Security:

  • Deep understanding of API security principles (e.g., OWASP API Security Top 10), lifecycle management, and advanced security mechanisms like OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect.

  • Proficiency in leveraging API contracts (OpenAPI Specification/Swagger) for security-by-design and automated testing.

  • Experience with API security platforms like 42Crunch, particularly integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for automated auditing.

• Business & Process Acumen:

  • In-depth understanding of CRM best practices and how they apply to Salesforce solutions is advantageous.

  • Strong innovation skills to drive continuous process improvement, including the implementation of automation/AI.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to present findings and insights effectively.

  • Project management skills, including knowledge of methodologies and tools.
