Description
The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for planning, analyzing, adjusting, and communicating production plans to maximize the efficient use of materials, capacity, and resources. This role supports business objectives by aligning supply, demand, and inventory strategies to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and communicate production schedules to optimize resource utilization
- Identify and communicate supply and distribution constraints to refine the S&OP plan
- Execute and support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
- Establish, manage, and apply inventory strategies to balance availability and cost
- Ensure delivery commitments are met within production capacity
- Maintain accurate planning and system data within ERP/MRP platforms
- Monitor and follow up on purchase order processing according to established business rules
- Determine, review, and optimize MRP parameters to support operational efficiency
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling and material issues
- Track production progress and proactively adjust plans as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, distribution, and workflow optimization
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or distribution within a manufacturing environment
- Degree in Operations Management, Aerospace Manufacturing, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of planning tools, ERP/MRP systems, and inventory management principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
