Role description:

This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. The GEC brings key capabilities and capacity to support our clients seamlessly around the world.  For those in GEC there are options to be dedicated to one country; developing deep knowledge and strong relationships, as well as opportunities to be part of teams working truly globally as a centre of excellence, offering diversity and variety.  Arcadians are by nature, globally minded and culturally aware, and Arcadis strongly believes in flexibility which enables change over time as your career progresses. • Manage and take accountability for the performance and behaviors of more junior staff
• Work collaboratively with related design disciplines within an agreed engineering management environment to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution
• Develop, present and gain agreement for design options and opportunities to maximize the profitability of design components and drive the implementation of these
• Provide technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development
• When appointed in the role of a Task Manager, drive project performance, service delivery and technical and commercial outcomes and undertake regular reviews, ensuring delivery is above expectation
• When appointed in the role of a Task Manager, communicate with team members to ensure that they understand, and become engaged with, the project strategy, brief and requirements.
• Take accountability for the quality of work completed by the team
• Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution
• Undertake verification checking of elements of work with higher complexity
• Manage the production and quality of designs and associated documentation and reports to ensure that they meet or exceed expectations as well as Arcadis requirements, and that they comply with national standards and codes of practice
• Lead interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables on behalf of engineering discipline
• Develop effective working relationships with the Project Director or Managers in Arcadis’ regional offices to ensure effective communication of progress and changes, as well as the resolution of issues
• Prepare a development plan with your line manager during the Professional Development Review process and take ownership of achieving the goals identified within this plan
• Keep up to date with developments in the industry sector and with technical and legislative developments and seek out opportunities to develop a strong professional profile

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent and formally licensed to act as a professional engineer (if required in their Arcadis GEC country)
• Possess 7-15 years of relevant professional experience
