• Implements consistently designed products and product families based on the brand design strategy and design guideline
• Originates and develops ideas to design the form of manufactured products – capable of completing designs that reach mass production level, not just renderings.  
• Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to complete production related tasks, such as packaging, labelling, patent documents, etc
• Constantly research industry literature, attend industry specific tradeshows and build a knowledge base of product trends
• Participating with design team on design research to identify user needs, trends, competitors, scenarios, etc. and conduct ergonomic studies.

 

What makes us successful together

 

• Bachelor’s degree with focus on Industrial Design
• 3+ years of professional experience in industrial design or product design.
• Have experience in determining the feasibility of design and mass production, and be able to output accurate design documents.
• Proficient in software including Rhino, Keyshot, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Language skills in English and Chinese.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies. Nice to have experience in home appliances, metal sheet products, and mass production design experience of metal sheet.
• Knowledge of methods such as design thinking, customer insights and user-centered design.
