RADIOLOGY TECH Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center - FULL TIME Monday- Friday NO Evenings, NO Weekends, NO Holidays   Department: Clinic Location: Worthington
Responsible To: Clinical Manager
  Position Summary:   Responsible for assisting physician in patient care, performing all necessary X-Rays, MRIs, and CT's with a high degree of quality, escorting patients to rooms, medical assistance as needed, ordering medical and x-ray supplies, and maintaining x-ray records.   Position Responsibilities/Standards: General
  • Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required
  • Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
  • Complete required annual in-service programs and education as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. 
  • Maintains accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in the electronic and manual systems as established by regulations and practice policies.
Specific Duties
  • Prepares patients for procedures and educates patient/family members on process.
  • Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation standards.
  • Takes images following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Adjusts/sets controls and takes images per provider requests.
  • Checks images for clarity, retaking when needed.  Transmits images to databases.
  • Performs quantity and quality control checks to ensure units meet standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.  Maintains all required records.
  • Provides excellent customer service at all times.  Acts as a team player.  Identifies areas to assist other team members with patient care, balances the workload when needed, and actively supports the overall success of the clinic.
    Education/Experience Required:
    • Must be ARRT R.T.(R) certified, and have an active Ohio Radiography license.
    • Must be friendly, courteous and have good communication skills when greeting patients.
    Physical Requirements: Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects.  Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel.  Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs.  Average lift 25-50 lbs.
