Description
We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our medical practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing cycle, reviewing claims, processing write-offs, and conducting thorough accounts receivable (AR) reviews.
Essential Duties
- Review insurance and patient claims accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct regular AR reviews to follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
- Identify and resolve billing issues, denials, and rejections.
- Apply contractual and administrative write-offs appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of all billing activities and communications.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and others as needed.
- Generate and analyze AR reports to monitor outstanding balances and trends.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all billing regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing and AR review.
- Strong understanding of insurance billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and denial management.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
