Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Aide is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, sorting, storing, and distributing clean linens.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

• Fold linens and identify damaged or missing items

• Prepare linen carts and bags for delivery to guest units

• Participate in monthly linen inventory

• Rotate between laundry stations and meet performance standards at each station

• Load and unload washers weighing up to 75 lbs. and process approximately 750 lbs. of linen daily

• Sort and separate soiled linens into appropriate bins

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to operate an iron

• Ability to read and write in English

• Comfortable operating basic computer-driven machinery

• Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines

• Basic sewing skills preferred

• Strong attention to detail
