Merakey is currently seeking a Painter to join our team in the Plymouth Meeting, PA area.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

Responsibilities include:

• Paint, stain & varnish using brushes/rollers
• Cleaning, sanding, sandblasts, scraping, brushing to prepare for painting.
• Repairs surfaces to be painted including plastering & Sheetrock finishing.
• Erects Scaffolding, movable & immovable staging & various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; May have to move furniture & equipment as necessary.
• Mixing & matching Paint.
• Requisitions materials & supplies from Stockroom.
• Waterproofing.
• Sets Glass & Applies Putty.
• Occasionally may hang wallpaper.

Earn $21.50/hour in this position with the option of an additional $2/hour with the selection of enhanced pay.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Must possess a valid driver's license. (Prefer candidate have their own transportation)
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Knowledge of preparing surfaces for painting and finishing.
• Walk- moving about to accomplish task, often including moving from one site to another 
• Use hands/fingers to handle or feel 
• Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Carry weight, lift up to 20 pounds
