Position Overview
Title: Millwright I
Reports to: IXL Supervisor
FLSA status: Non-Exempt
Overview
Assist with the fabrication, construction, and rebuild of machinery and equipment
Accountabilities
• Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work process.
• Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.
• Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Interact with engineering, operations support and product development to troubleshoot and ensure machinery and equipment are working properly.
• Document procedures on new jobs or rebuilds for filing in permanent record.
• Ability to meet physical demands and perform the essential job functions within the work environment identified in this job description.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• 0-1+ years’ experience in machine repair
Skills & Knowledge Required
• Demonstrated safety consciousness.
• Valid Chauffeur's License
• Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and all parts of machine repair
• Torches, mig and tig welding, ARC and fabrications applications experience
(Must be able to pass hands on Welding Test)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Physical Demands
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and be able to move about in an outside and warehouse environment.
• Operate computer, machinery, tools, vehicles and industrial equipment and must have the ability to use hands to move, set up, adjust, assemble, control, test, operate, or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
• Constantly communicate and exchange information with team members and must be able to effectively communicate correct information with vendors.
• Read/comprehend, write, communicate orally, reasoning and analytical abilities, and mental flexibility.
• Frequently move objects up to 75 unless a higher number is provided pounds.
• The employee will constantly climb, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach above shoulder when working with equipment, material loading and unloading, and other related tasks.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to compare and distinguish material grades and administrative data.
• Hearing ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking level with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations sound.
Work Environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a typical outdoor and warehouse work environment.
• Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by weather.
• Exposure to hazardous materials, extreme heat, and proximity to moving mechanical parts.
• Requires wearing common protective and safety equipment.
• Position may involve extended work hours.
• Exposure to sound and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
Travel
This position requires travel 30% of the time. Maintain a valid Chauffeur’s License.
