Job Description

SGS is seeking a Program Technical Coordinator to support the delivery of agriculture and food auditing and certification programs, including Freshcare, HARPS, GLOBALG.A.P., ESA, FeedSafe, and related schemes. This role provides technical, accreditation, and program coordination support, including audit preparation, technical reviews, certification decisions (as required), and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review client documentation and prepare for audits.
  • Lead and conduct preliminary, evaluation, and surveillance audits as required.
  • Perform Technical File Reviews and make Certification Decisions.
  • Coordinate with auditors, clients, affiliates, and internal teams to meet program timelines and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate audit documentation, databases, schedules, and SGS systems.
  • Verify supplier specifications, Product Information Forms, and product labelling against Australian regulations.
  • Respond to customer and technical enquiries in a timely manner.

Qualifications

About You

  • Degree in a science or food-related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the food or agriculture industry as a Quality Assurance related role.
  • Understanding of certification and regulatory environments.
  • Completed 2-day Principles & Applications of HACCP course (preferred).
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused, process-driven, and able to work independently.
