We are looking for a talented Logistics Site Manager to join our team in Logistics in Bolingbrook, IL.  

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:   

Deliver Operational Excellence 
Achieve or exceed Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements, ensuring reliable and efficient parts distribution for all supported business units. 

Lead Strategic Execution 
Collaborate with global materials, transportation, logistics, and data integration teams to develop and implement strategies that optimize supply chain performance. 

Champion Safety and Compliance 
Foster a culture of health, safety, environmental stewardship, ethical behavior, and financial compliance across the facility. 

Drive Continuous Improvement 
Implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives aligned with Cummins Operating System to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality. 

Manage Financial Performance 
Prepare and oversee annual operating plans, including expense control, resource allocation, and capital investments for PPE and IT infrastructure. 

Develop Talent and Capability 
Mentor and coach employees, set development goals, and build supply chain capability through training, career planning, and performance management. 

Ensure Customer Satisfaction 
Guarantee product availability and service excellence for distributors, aftermarket customers, and internal stakeholders by maintaining dependable supply chains. 

Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration 
Direct and coordinate key business support activities—such as quality, HR, IT, and finance—to ensure seamless operations and alignment with enterprise initiatives.

  • Apply Technical Expertise in Logistics and Supply Chain – Manage carriers, select optimal transportation modes, apply trade regulations, oversee warehouse operations, lead projects, and influence end-to-end supply chain integration.  
  • Value Differences and Cultivate Inclusion – Recognize and leverage diverse perspectives and cultures to strengthen problem-solving and innovation across the organization. 

 

 

Education, Licenses, Certifications:  

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required. MBA preferred. 
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 

 

 

Experience:  

  • Significant experience required including leadership, strategic, financial and functional 

 

Additional Responsibilities: 

Significant experience required in leadership, strategic planning and execution, financial and operational acumen 

Establish and maintain a successful relationship with the on-site 3PL responsible for warehouse operations, facilities management and HSE compliance 

Support the 3PL to achieve all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality standards 

Support a positive HSE culture with 3PL’s conformance to protocol, legal compliance to local, state regulations/requirements and the Cummins Planet 2050 environmental goals 

Partner to improve performance by removing barriers, driving awareness and accountability for standardized processes, effective performance and leadership engagement 

Collaborate with the Parts Distribution Centers, stakeholders and downstream customers on improvement opportunities 

Lead the Cummins team in talent development and establishing the right environment for employees and the community
