As a Change agent for the Incentives team, you won’t just be managing—you will be transforming. Your primary focus will be to move beyond the migration phase to ensure the application is world-class in terms of stability, performance, and scalability. Our platform is built on a modern foundation: Angular on the frontend, Java Spring Boot microservices on the backend, all running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be the bridge between visionary architecture and hands-on execution. 

  • Drive Stability & Performance: Own the reliability of a business-critical Cloud application, implementing robust monitoring, SRE practices, and performance tuning.
  • Lead the Culture Shift: Foster a culture of engineering excellence where clean code, automated testing, and continuous improvement are the standard.
  • Build the Runway: Work closely with architects to define and execute a long-term technical roadmap that supports Ford’s evolving business needs.
  • Empower the Team: Mentor and lead a talented group of engineers, removing roadblocks and inspiring them to build high-quality, resilient software with accelerated productivity leveraging AI coding assistants.

· Engineering leadership role (LL6) overseeing design and delivery of a complex ecosystem.

· The team is responsible for the web based system used for authoring, managing and processing all of Ford Europe incentives and incentive payments to the European Dealer network. This is a business critical application.

· In partnership with the principal architect, who is responsible for overall architecture & design, build

and deliver features as well as drive stability, performance, AI adoption and engineering excellence

· Model the use of modern software engineering practices (TDD BDD, CI/CD, Shift left, 12 factor

applications, API first design language etc..) to support integration with existing Ford software

products as well as external cloud-based services.

· Collaborate with Ford’s Enterprise Architecture organization to rationalize technologies, further

leverage current technology offerings already in use, and identify gaps/opportunities.

· Implement a talent system to review existing team capabilities (internal and external) and build and

promote practices to develop a world-class software engineering team.

· Strategize & work with senior leaders across Ford’s engineering organization to make significant,

measurable impact on a global scale by innovating and operating with an iterative, agile, and user-

centric perspective.

· Provide thought leadership for the development, structure, technology of Ford with skills in strategic

planning, goal setting, processes development, budgeting, and creating opportunities for professional

development within technology teams.
