Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial Engineer (Level 2) / Principal Industrial Engineer (Level 3) . This position will be located at our Space sector in Clearfield, UT.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Manufacturing & Operations team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Observe, understand and model the Least Waste Way with regards to full-spectrum capacity analysis
- Positively impact the business by working with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines to eliminate waste and improve processes
- Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Work collaboratively across disciplines to develop solutions with an emphasis on timeliness and execution
- Design and implement processes to improve efficiency and flow throughout the factory and back office
- Facilitate continuous improvement events to develop, define and improve processes in the forming and finishing of solid rocket motors
- Production performance metrics and analysis
- Special studies and projects
- Create staffing models based on work content
- Facilities and workplace design

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Level 2
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of experience or 0 years with Masters degree.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company, to meet its business needs
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment for any kind of industry
Level 3
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience or 3 years with Masters degree.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company, to meet its business needs
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment for any kind of industry
