NVIDIA is looking for a highly qualified and ambitious Senior Java Developer to become a member of the GeForce NOW R&D Team. In this role, you will drive system-wide optimisations and architectural enhancements for our content-related services while supporting ongoing operations.

You'll work on high-load distributed systems that support GeForce NOW's content pipeline, focusing on proactive improvements without competing with feature delivery priorities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and implement system-wide optimisations and architectural enhancements for high-load content-related services

  • Build and enhance services following the core principles of scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability

  • Perform engineering tasks to find the best solution. Yes, we have many complex engineering problems that require a non-standard approach, and you need to be as flexible as possible.

  • Actively participate in code reviews and architectural design discussions

What we need to see:

  • A master's or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, or have a technical degree

  • 5+ years of proven experience

  • Strong expertise in Java with experience in developing production-grade distributed systems

  • Basic system administration skills. Advanced user Windows and Linux knowledge.

  • Experience with system performance analysis and optimisation

  • Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures and distributed system design patterns

  • Good social skills, effective verbal and written communication.

  • Intermediate/upper-intermediate technical English.

  • Experience working in distributed international teams

  • Self-motivation, engagement, openness, integrity, ability to learn and develop.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with Python programming will be a big plus

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and container orchestration at scale

  • Experience optimising high-load systems for performance and cost efficiency

  • Familiarity with ELK stack or similar observability/monitoring solutions

  • If you like to deal with non-standard engineering for programming tasks.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. For Poland: The base salary range is 221,250 PLN - 383,500 PLN for Level 3, and 292,500 PLN - 507,000 PLN for Level 4.
