ABOUT THE POSITION
- Create high-quality 3D assets for both characters and environments that meet the visual and technical standards of the project
- Flex between organic and hard-surface modeling, adapting to task needs across props, characters, environments, or vehicles
- Deliver polished, production-ready assets that perform well in-engine and align with gameplay and artistic intent
- Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Leads, and cross-discipline teams to ensure assets support the overall player experience
- Own asset creation from blockout to final, including modeling, sculpting, texturing, and lookdev
- Maintain consistency across asset types and contribute to the project’s overall visual cohesion
- Help improve workflows and documentation to support scalable, efficient production
- Troubleshoot technical or artistic issues across both character and environment disciplines
- Stay current on tools, workflows, and emerging tech, including AI-assisted and procedural workflows
- Participate in sprint planning and provide reliable task scoping and estimates
- Mentor junior and mid-level artists across both character and environment content
- Drive visual quality across disciplines through flexibility, expertise, and cross-functional problem solving
- Created both character and environment assets for at least two shipped games in a senior 3D artist role
- Built high-quality real-time assets in UE5 or other relevant AAA engines using softwares such as ZBrush, Maya, Blender, Substance Painter/Designer etc
- Delivered assets in both stylized and realistic pipelines, adapting to shifting art direction and production needs
- Created optimized, engine-ready models following PBR workflows, LOD requirements, and memory constraints
- Produced both organic and hard-surface models, demonstrating strong understanding of form, anatomy, material definition, and edge control
- Delivered modular kits, characters, props, or vehicles that integrated smoothly into gameplay spaces
- Worked closely with departments including Rigging, Lighting, Tech Art, and Design to ensure assets met all production requirements
- Helped improve team workflows through documentation, feedback, and process refinement
- Experience painting or drawing digitally and traditional methods
- Reviewed and guided other artists' work, providing feedback across both character and environment disciplines
- Passionate about building visually rich, technically sound game art that elevates player immersion
