About this role

ADP is hiring an Accountant. The Accountant is competent to work on moderately complex accounting activities which includes maintaining the general ledger, reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries and vouchers and in analyzing various P-L accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements.
  • Classifies, examines and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements.
  • Prepares standard and specialized financial reports (e.g.. balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.
  • Complies and analyzes financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documents business transactions.
  • Establishes, maintains and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced Accountants.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent in education and experience
  • 5-8 years general accounting experience with a proven proficiency in performing complex accounting activities
Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Preparing journal entries and performing routing accounting activities
  • Expert knowledge of Excel required.
