Job Title: Senior Manager – AI & Automation CoE Leader & Solution Architect

Role Overview:
Kroll is seeking a Senior AI & Automation Leader and Solution Architect to build, scale, and lead our global Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) based in India. This role will drive enterprise-wide efficiency by advancing Kroll’s automation and AI capabilities, working closely with the AI Enablement Team, Chief Data Office (CDO), Enterprise Services, the COO, and senior business partners to deliver high-impact, enterprise-scale solutions across the firm.
This position combines leadership and hands-on technical architecture, owning the full automation lifecycle - from opportunity identification and requirements discovery through solution design, build, production deployment, ROI tracking, and ongoing support. The successful candidate will establish CoE governance, scale and lead a high-performing global team, and ensure measurable, sustainable business value through operational excellence in close alignment with Enterprise Data, AI, and shared services strategies.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect and visionary leader who can translate complex business challenges into scalable automation and AI solutions, lead large teams, and continuously evolve Kroll’s automation capabilities through innovation, emerging technologies, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy
Execute Kroll’s enterprise automation and AI strategy as defined by the AI Enablement team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long-term digital transformation objectives.
Implement and scale a global Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) based on the operating models, standards, best practices, tooling, and delivery frameworks established by the AI Enablement team.
Continuously apply and operationalize emerging technologies in AI, intelligent process automation (IPA), and enterprise automation platforms as directed by the defined strategy.
Governance & Operating Model
Define, implement and execute the Automation CoE operating model, standards, and guardrails across:
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Power Virtual Agents)
UiPath (RPA, Orchestrator, AI Center, Document Understanding)
Establish governance for citizen development, security, compliance, lifecycle management, and risk controls.
Align automation architecture and delivery with Technology Intake, Architecture Review Committees (ARC), and PMO processes, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals.
Define governance models for demand intake, prioritization, solution quality, and compliance.
Business Partnership & Opportunity Identification
Partner with senior business stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize automation opportunities across the enterprise.
Serve as a trusted advisor, translating complex business challenges into scalable automation and AI solutions.
Own the end-to-end automation lifecycle, including:
Opportunity intake and requirements discovery
Solution design and architecture
Build, testing, and production deployment
Post-production support, optimization, and continuous improvement
Solution Architecture & Delivery
Act as lead solution architect for complex and strategic automation initiatives.
Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, resilient, and maintainable solutions.
Design integration patterns, data models, non-functional requirements, and enterprise integrations.
Oversee development, testing, and deployment to ensure production readiness and operational stability.
Ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems, data platforms, and cloud services.
Operations, Metrics & Value Realization
Establish monitoring, alerting, incident management, and operational support models for production automations.
Define and track automation success metrics, including:
ROI and cost savings
Efficiency gains and cycle-time reduction
Adoption, reliability, and business impact
Bots in production, run volumes, and release cadence
Deliver executive-level KPI and ROI dashboards to demonstrate ongoing business value.
Drive continuous optimization through performance monitoring and insights.
Team Leadership & CoE Growth
Build, manage, and scale a high-performing India-based automation and AI team, lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and performance management in alignment with Kroll HR standards.
Develop and retain architects, developers, business analysts, and automation engineers.
Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Lead distributed and global teams, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and vendor partners.
Required Skills & Experience
Leadership & CoE Expertise
10+ years of experience in automation and AI platforms, including 5+ years building and leading an Automation CoE or similar enterprise function.
Proven success building, managing, and scaling large teams (starting at 15+ resources), including hiring, mentoring, and performance leadership.
Experience operating in global, enterprise-scale environments and partnering with senior stakeholders across regions.
Technical & Architectural Expertise
Deep hands-on expertise with:
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Power Virtual Agents)
UiPath (RPA development, Orchestrator, REFramework, enterprise deployments)
Strong background in:
Intelligent automation, RPA, and workflow orchestration
AI/ML, cognitive services, document understanding, and decision automation
Enterprise integration patterns, cloud platforms, and scalable architectures
Demonstrated ability to design secure, resilient, production-grade automation solutions.
Business & Strategic Acumen
Strong ability to translate business strategy and operational challenges into automation and AI roadmaps.
Proven ownership of end-to-end solution delivery, from ideation through production deployment and ongoing support.
Track record of delivering measurable business value, including ROI, cost savings, efficiency gains, and operational improvements.
Ability to clearly articulate business impact and ROI to executive and senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in professional services, financial services, consulting, or other regulated industries.
Exposure to advanced automation and AI technologies, such as Azure AI, OpenAI, and process mining platforms.
Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and outside-the-box thinking.
