Emerson is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who will help us drive product innovation for our market-leading DeltaV Batch Control and Recipe Management solutions, that enable flexible manufacturing and greater uptime while reducing engineering time and risk for our customers.

DeltaV built-for-batch solutions offer flexible I/O, embedded intelligence, intuitive operator environments, standards-based data connections and a focus on data integrity. This means decision-makers at every level in the plant can get the critical data they need reliably, securely, and in real-time.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO: 

  • Develop a compelling vision and roadmap for the portfolio based on holistic understanding of customer needs and use cases within target segments. 

  • Use market knowledge and insights to define product functional & usability requirements and communicate those to other parts of the organization as and when needed.

  • Provide marketing leadership (i.e. guidance, direction, and oversight) to ensure that the market requirements are understood and incorporated during the agile product development process.

  • Become subject matter expert on DeltaV Batch to support sales enablement and business development activities and participate in webinars and conferences.

  • Actively manage the commercial success of your portfolio, including Orders, Sales, and Margin.

  • Develop marketing collateral, business case, and overall commercial plan related to the portfolio 

  • Keep the management team aware of the program status, raise issues as necessary to make sure the organization meets the goals for your product portfolio.

For this role you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, or similar technical degree. 

  • 5+ years of proven experience with the design, development, implementation of process automation systems, specifically batch control systems.

  • Excellent presentation and customer engagement skills

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Master of Business Administration

  • Customer-facing experience (e.g. sales, marketing or project engineering)

  • Experience building a commercial and product strategy and persuading others to follow it

  • Familiarity with flexible manufacturing in life sciences or specialty chemicals space

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position may include up to 10% travel, both domestic and international.
