The Associate Director of Digital Marketing develops and oversees the Firm’s global digital marketing strategy across all channels to raise the Firm’s profile and enhance its reputation. This role manages the Firm’s digital ecosystem, including the website, blogs, microsites, social media platforms, and related technologies, and ensures consistent, high-quality digital engagement with clients, prospects, recruits, and alumni.

Working closely with the Director of Communications and members of the Business Development, Marketing, and Communications team, the Associate Director establishes digital marketing priorities, leads Firmwide campaigns, analyzes performance, and sets best practices for digital content, governance, and technology use.

Digital Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop, execute, and continuously refine the Firm’s digital marketing strategy to advance business goals, strengthen brand reputation, and enhance market visibility.
  • Serve as the Firm’s lead digital strategist, responsible for website management, social media, SEO/SEM, paid media, analytics, and emerging digital channels.
  • Ensure all digital marketing activity aligns with Firm standards, professional responsibility rules, and client-sensitive considerations.

Digital Campaigns & Cross-Firm Collaboration

  • Partner with BD, Communications, PR, Branding, Events, and lawyers to develop effective digital marketing approaches for Firm initiatives, thought leadership, and practice-related content.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable digital marketing programs, coordinating execution across multiple internal teams and external vendors.
  • Manage all phases of digital campaigns; planning, execution, optimization, and reporting; making recommendations for improvement based on performance insights.
  • Ensure cohesive and integrated use of all digital channels to support Firm communications, branding, talent, and business development efforts.

Website, UX, Content & SEO Management

  • Oversee the Firm’s website and supporting microsites, ensuring high-quality content, intuitive navigation, ADA compliance, strong UX/UI, and robust SEO performance.
  • Conduct periodic audits to identify opportunities for modernization, improved attorney/practice visibility, and enhanced thought-leadership pathways.
  • Partner with IT and external agencies to maintain a secure, stable, and technically optimized digital environment.

Technology & Digital Infrastructure

  • Evaluate Firm digital marketing channels and help direct the development, integration, and enhancement of digital technologies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Technology, BDMC leadership, IT, and vendors to plan and evolve the Firm’s digital marketing technology stack.
  • Identify and adopt new tools, techniques, and industry best practices that improve digital marketing performance and operational efficiency.

Analytics, Insights & Optimization

  • Lead Firmwide digital reporting and analytics, measuring campaign and channel performance to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Use data and audience insights to refine digital tactics, improve engagement, and inform future marketing initiatives.
  • Establish and communicate digital marketing processes, standards, and best practices across the Firm.

Internal Leadership & Education

  • Act as the Firm’s primary resource on digital marketing strategies and trends, educating colleagues on best practices and emerging opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of digital fluency across teams, ensuring understanding of effective digital approaches and technologies.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, digital communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing or communications, with 5+ years leading teams; experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing multichannel digital strategies across websites, social media, email, and paid/organic digital campaigns.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, project management, problem-solving, and change management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage concurrent initiatives across multiple teams and locations in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Experience building, coaching, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations clearly, distill complex issues, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional, collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated approach to leadership and execution.

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $200,000-$250,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
