Overview of the Team:

The Firmwide Allocations Product Team within Financial Analysis (FA) is working to build scalable, end-to-end solutions that optimize and “redefine” the Firmwide Expense Allocations process, as well as improving stakeholder experience. The team will be responsible to identify and evaluate tactical opportunities and partner extensively with Corporate Technology, Financial Analysis, and lines of business (LOBs) to transform Expense Allocation operating model for the firm, incorporating technology modernization and streamlining opportunities.

As the Expense Allocation Product Manager within the Firmwide Allocations Product Team, you will support the Allocations Product Owner and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Financial Analysis to redefine the current Allocations operating model. You will propose end-to-end modern technology solutions to support modernization efforts, enhance governance models, and improve end-user experience.

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Analyze what customers need and want and use prioritization techniques to determine which features or products would meet those demands.
  • Partner with peers and product managers across Finance & Business Management, Technology counterparts, and with Line of Business stakeholders across the firm to gather feedback on the roadmap, execute on the Book of Work, and manage key program cross-dependencies.
  • Prepare Executive friendly presentations, drive Steering Committee and Product meetings as well as navigate agile workshop meetings at various levels 
  • Identify, analyze, and lead process improvements and change management on a continual basis for Allocations product
  • Develop KPI’s, track performance metrics and lead workshops with the goal of articulating workflow needs, pain points, and evolving client needs 
  • For areas of the product that you own, support triaging and issue resolution to meet end user’s needs before ultimately operationalizing them for handoff to BAU support.
  • Provide on-time and accurate reporting, as well as ongoing updates to all project team members and notify all stakeholders of any shifting priority upfront to allow for informed decision making.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • At least 6 years professional finance experience, ideally in expenses, allocations, or a similar role within Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • Knowledge of expense allocations and associated systems/reporting
  • Drive E2E large scale projects / initiatives across multiple organizations
  • Ability to communicate and led senior management meetings 
  • Comfortable with managing large data sets and performing financial analysis
  • Drive and influence various product working teams (e.g. SAP Technology, P&A Teams, Tax) 
  • Ability to independently execute on priorities, identify roadblocks and solutions
  • Oral and written communication skills (“story telling”)
  • Client/customer relationship management skills
  • Detailed oriented
