Senior Tester/QA Engineer

At RSB Automotive Consulting, we are supporting one of our international clients in scaling and optimizing their data platforms. For an ongoing project within a Databricks Lakehouse environment, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior QA / Test Engineer to join the next implementation phase.

Project context

The project focuses on optimizing data pipelines and reducing operational costs within a large-scale Databricks environment. Following a successful Proof of Concept that validated specific architectural and implementation changes, the next phase involves rolling out these improvements across additional data domains.

Your responsibilities

• Implement testing and QA activities related to data pipeline improvements

• Validate changes introduced during the pipeline rebuild phase

• Ensure data quality and correctness across multiple domains

• Work with unit testing and data quality frameworks in a data engineering context

• Prepare clear QA and testing documentation prior to project handover

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Python-based testing

• Hands-on experience with unit testing and data quality frameworks (e.g. Pytest, Soda Core)

• Very good Python and Bash (shell scripting) skills

• Experience in testing data engineering or data platform projects is a strong advantage

• Ability to work independently in a distributed, international environment

• Work mode: 100% remote

• Start date: mid-February 2026

• Contract duration: 6 months
