
About this role
We are seeking a technically strong and customer-focused Palo Alto Networks & Prisma Security Engineer to join our security services team. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years’ experience in network security who can deliver high quality implementation, optimisation, and support for Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, and Prisma Access environments.
You will engage directly with customers, supporting both project delivery and ongoing managed security services. While your core focus will be the Palo Alto ecosystem, experience with other firewall or network platforms is a desirable bonus, but not required.
This is a fully remote working position, but there may be occasional client sites visits across the UK.
Palo Alto Networks NGFW (Primary Focus)
Deploy, configure, and optimise Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, leveraging features such as App-ID, Use-ID, and Content-ID.
Assist with firewall rulebase design, cleanup, optimisation, and migration activities.
Implement secure remote and site-to-site VPN configurations.
Panorama Management
Configure and manage Panorama for security policy standardisation, device groups, templates, and configuration lifecycle management.
Prisma Access (SASE) – Strong Secondary Focus
Onboard and configure remote networks, mobile users, and gateways in Prisma Access, supporting secure access to cloud, SaaS, and private applications.
Support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA 2.0) configurations and troubleshoot availability or performance issues.
Integrate Prisma Access with identity providers and logging systems.
Operational Support & Customer Interaction
Act as an escalation point for complex firewall and remote-access issues.
Monitor and tune customer environments to maintain strong security posture.
Provide documentation, change control input, and recommendations for improvements.
Support customer meetings, including service reviews and project updates.
Required Qualifications & Skills
PCNSA certification (Required)
PCNSE certification (Highly desirable)
3–5 years’ hands-on experience in network security engineering.
Strong understanding of firewalls, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and Zero Trust models.
Experience with identity services (Azure AD, SAML, MFA) is beneficial.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong customer-facing skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

Juniper SRX
SD-WAN technologies (any vendor)
Basic familiarity with Prisma Cloud, though not required.
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Scripting or automation knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Terraform)
