
About this role
The Social Media Manager, Executive Communications, is responsible for shaping and amplifying the digital presence of senior leaders across social platforms. The role focuses on building executive credibility, visibility, and engagement in alignment with corporate strategy and communications priorities.
This position requires a strategic storyteller who can translate complex business topics into compelling, executive level narratives. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, a data-driven planner, and a proactive partner for leadership stakeholders.
Develop and execute tailored social media strategies for senior executives.
Create high-quality written and visual content that reflects each executive’s authentic voice.
Build and manage executive specific social content calendars.
Partner with internal teams to identify stories and opportunities that support thought leadership.
Monitor channels, conversations, and trends to optimize engagement.
Provide real-time support for events, announcements, and executive visibility moments.
Manage audience interactions and ensure brand safe engagement.
Analyze performance and deliver regular insights to guide strategy and content decisions.
Mitigate risk through careful review and alignment with Comms, Legal, and other teams.
Benchmark executive digital presence against industry peers.

Role requirements
Ability to craft executive-level messaging across digital platforms.
Strong strategic planning and storytelling capabilities.
Skilled in managing multiple executive stakeholders.
Ability to create timely, relevant content aligned with business priorities.
Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Competence in social analytics, insights reporting, and benchmarking.
Understanding of best practices for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and other executive-relevant platforms.
Ability to operate calmly and effectively in fast-paced or high-visibility moments.
Experience and skills required
You must have:
Proven experience managing social media for senior executives or high-profile individuals.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice.
Expertise across major social platforms and executive communication trends.
Experience with content planning, scheduling, and community management.
Strong analytical skills with experience using social listening and reporting tools.
Ability to manage tight deadlines and rapidly changing priorities.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
A track record of managing sensitive or confidential communications.
