About this role

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare journal entries during monthly close;
  • Analyze cost center line item detail for accuracy and reasonableness;
  • Research department expense variances;
  • Prepare and review monthly Balance Sheet account analysis and reconciliation;
  • Maintenance of fixed asset inventory database;
  • Assist with year-end close, and participate in the YE internal inventory audit;
  • Provide accounting and reporting support to other functional departments;
  • Provide additional support to the Accounting/Finance team as needed. 

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting;
  • 2-5 years of related Accounting experience.

Skills

 

  • Proficient with networked PC based computer systems including MS Office, Excel spreadsheets, E-Mail, Oracle and other ERP systems
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and short deadlines
  • Ability to excel in cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times, handling sensitive information in a confidential manner

Working Conditions

  • Full time onsite;
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Some light lifting of boxed files may be required.

Safety Requirements
